Ground Red Pepper

Ground and Crushed Red Pepper shall be processed from the dried, ripe fruit of pungent varieties of Capsicum frutescens. It shall possess the characteristic yellow-red color to red color. Three out of five testers shall be able to note a perceptible sensation of pungency when tested by the Scoville method. Ground and Crushed Red Pepper shall be made of the true vegetable substance from which no portion of its volatile constituents has been exhausted.
